CODESYS^® Visualization

With a variety of functionally complex but easy-to-use visualization elements, you can create modern and professional visualization interfaces in no time at all. In addition to control elements such as switches, buttons, and sliders, you can also use elements for displaying and recording data, e.g. pointer instruments, trace, histogram, and trend function. You also have the option of flexibly adapting generic elements to your requirements. You can easily integrate external HMTL5 elements and use your control data to animate them. It is also possible to embed or reference pixel graphics (jpg, png, gif, etc.) and vector files (svg). Visualization styles offer you a variety of ready-made visualization elements that you can customize as you wish: By simply switching between styles, you can adapt your entire project to the desired look and feel.

Engineering is done in the CODESYS Development System, if required in parallel with the development of your IEC 61131-3 application. You can animate visualization elements using production data variables with just a few mouse clicks - from simple movement and gesture control to multi-touch functions. If you wish to compare projects created in this way with other projects on your hard disk, it just takes one mouse click.

Create visualizations for any controllers via OPC UA. Browse the available variable space and use the OPC UA server to make your own variables available to other platforms in the Industry 4.0 environment. Or work conveniently with variables from a CODESYS logic application without having to integrate external data. In addition, a convenient and lean API is also available for data connection.

Based on the PLC variables, you can classify critical states for production, machine, or operation into classes, groups, and types, display them within the CODESYS Visualization, and react to them - this even works for several visualized controllers simultaneously if required.

You can conveniently manage all user interfaces down to individual visualization elements on the basis of access rights for individual users or user groups - including available functions for login, password management, and user administration in online mode.

Store complete visualization pages in libraries and reuse them - thanks to the parameter interface that makes the visualization objects created as flexible as IEC 61131-3 function blocks. If required, such visualization libraries can even be further marketed in the community. Thanks to the modular approach, you can also predefine alarms for function blocks.

Images and texts are managed in lists. You can reference / embed existing images and use them to create user interfaces. You can therefore easily access the fixed and dynamically stored elements. Text lists can be made available to external coworkers for translation via export/import. The visualization can be translated and displayed in all languages using the Unicode data format. In addition to language switching, you can also convert units automatically, e.g. for entering and displaying values in different regions.

Data sources from different devices can be easily integrated. In this way, several controllers can be visualized in one project - or the pages of a project on several display devices. Communication between the controllers and to the visualization can be encrypted via X.509 certificates and thus protected against unauthorized access - especially when used in Industry 4.0 environments.
