PROFIBUS Nutzerorganisation e. V. (PNO)
A global user organization for manufacturers and users of the standardized communication technologies PROFIBUS and PROFINET. The organization’s goal is to promote the technical advancement and international adoption of these technologies. In addition, Profibus & Profinet International coordinates the development of the SRCIs (Standard Robot Command Interface) by PLC and robot manufacturers.
CODESYS supports PROFIBUS with an integrated configurator and PROFINET controllers/devices with its own portable protocol stacks, which are compiled onto the target system together with the PLC application. Furthermore, CODESYS implements SRCI.
